Frequently asked questions

Booking, cover and general questions
Are one-way rentals supported?
One-way hire may be available on selected routes and vehicle groups. Confirm the collection and return points when requesting a quote.
Is insurance included?
Insurance options are confirmed before booking. Tell the team who will drive, where the vehicle is going and whether company insurance may apply.
Car Hire questions
What age do drivers need to be for car hire?
Driver age, licence history and deposit rules vary by vehicle group. Confirm the driver details when requesting a quote so the right terms can be checked.
Can cars be delivered and collected locally?
Delivery and collection can usually be discussed for homes, workplaces, hotels, stations and airports within the service area. The exact address and timing are confirmed before booking.
Van Hire questions
Which van size should I choose?
Use the load to choose the van. Small vans suit boxes and tools, medium or long-wheelbase vans suit furniture and trade equipment, and Lutons are better for bulkier house-move items.
Can vans be delivered for moves or business use?
Delivery and collection may be available for house moves, trade jobs, storage runs and business bookings. Confirm the address, timings and vehicle size before booking.
Minibus Hire questions
Do all minibuses use the same licence rules?
No. Larger 15 and 17-seat minibuses may need different age, entitlement or D1 checks. Confirm the driver and passenger count before choosing the vehicle.
Which minibus seating options are available?
Common options include 7, 9, 12, 15 and 17-seat vehicles. Availability depends on dates, driver eligibility and how much luggage the group is carrying.
Truck Hire questions
Does truck hire include unlimited mileage?
Truck hire usually uses a separate fair-use mileage policy, commonly 3,000 miles per month or pro-rata. Confirm mileage before booking if the vehicle is going long distance.
Is an operator licence needed for truck hire?
Commercial truck hire may require an operator licence. Confirm the intended use, driver details and operating arrangements before booking.
Which truck sizes can be requested?
Typical categories include 3.5 tonne, 7.5 tonne, 18 tonne, 26 tonne and 44 tonne vehicles, subject to availability, licence checks and commercial hire requirements.
